Last summer, a friend of mine gave me a copy of a song she wrote for me on the last day of our internship. She had written one for each member of our team and had distributed them before the end of the term. I remember seeing the page for the first time, and reading it’s words quickly. I stuck it in a box that I was mailing back to Washington.
About a month ago I re-found her song. Wow. Do you ever have people read your mail?
Over the past couple years, my prayer to the Lord has been God, do whatever you want in me, through me, and around me. I will go where You go, say what You say, and be what You want me to be.
This letter pretty much hits the nail of my heart right not the head.
I’ll do what You ask of me
I strive to be who You want me to be
I strive to live for You
I want to be who You want me to be
Lord with my hands up, with my heart open
Make me who you want me to be
I cry out, Lord make me… show me
who You want me to be
I want to be all that You ask of me
Lord use me for your glory
